Time to buy a new tyre

Text

Having let my own GPS/Cycling website stagnate for a couple of years I thought I’d have a look at what’s out there at the moment.  I’ve been using Endomondo for a few days now and it’s pretty good - I love the fact that it tells me how long each mile I cycle takes.  I’m not sure about the speed it’s recording though - when I cycled home from work today (http://www.endomondo.com/workouts/3117088) it reckons I hit a top speed of 37.9mph.  As I ride fixed I was able to work out what sort of cadence I’d have been doing if that was true; A Bicycle Gear Calculator tells me that 72.14 gear inches would give me a cadence of 176.6 rpm. Did I really hit that for a second or two or was it just a GPS glitch?
